Good tidings to you. Just a few months ago, the last time we gave you an update, we were excited to pass 1,000 subscribers. It's astonishing to see how quickly we blew past that, and past 2,000 as well. It’s civilizational, really. This is our time.
Here’s a brief news roundup.
Print Editions
We have been moving print copies of the journal! Specifically, we have been moving enough copies to justify continuing to release the print edition at least once a year. Thank you to everyone who picked up Halcyonics, and a special shout out to everyone who decided to go back and pick up our first edition, Cognitorisk, while you were checking out with the second one.
The third volume of Futurist Letters will have a particular focus on horror themes and will be a collaboration with the author Arbogast. No name or date for that volume has been set at present.
The Futurist Letters Show
You may have noticed that today was a rare double-episode day for the show. Enjoy it, because it is certainly not the norm.
Moving forward, we will continue to air the show weekly on Monday mornings. Cairo Smith will remain the regular host, and Kenny White will continue to serve as part-time cohost. Nathan Eitingon has stepped away from the journal and the show, and we certainly appreciate all his contributions up to this point.
You can listen on Spotify, Apple, YouTube, Substack, or wherever else you can find The Futurist Letters Show.
The Futurist Letters Discord
As a reminder, we now have an official Discord a.k.a. chat room. We play the Wordle every day and discuss film and literature. It's quite cute. You can join here. Do as you will.
In Sum
Onward and upward. The future begins in our imagination.
Is Nathan stepping away to write Fear and Loathing in Apartheid and do a little ‘price tagging,’ now that the annexation has him locked in?
